R22 Refrigeration Agent Ban

Many older machines are still run on the established refrigeration agent R22, which has been sold for many years.

Already since January 2015, the use of all HFCKW refrigerants, which includes the widely used refrigerant R22, have been banned by a new EG regulation.

What impact does the purchase of a machine with R22 in its cooling system have for you?

In the time when on your part, the machine is used, without any intervention in its refrigeration system, then there is no problem and you can carry on using the machine without difficulties. However, as soon as a technical problem arises and the refrigeration system needs intervention, it is illegal to carry out a repair on a system which uses the banned HFCKW substances. Especially when buying a used machine, one should carefully investigate if you are buying devices which use the banned substances, for example R22 or R 502. A technical conversion is possible, but the cost thereof, which is borne by the customer often bears little relation to the purchase price of the device, and is not a cost effective option.

Frisani has the new Carpigiani EVD Soft Ice Cream Machine on the market

The new Soft Ice Cream Machine model Carpigiani EVD, distributed by Frisani, sets new boundless standards for consistent efficiency, which its silent operation with reduced energy costs delivers to the user. The impact of the flexibility of the EVD series, according to a statement by Frisani, can be seen clearly in the generally rising demand for premium-grade soft ice cream machines, which are able to adapt to the requirements of the individual user.

Modern design and user friendliness played a decisive role in the development of the EVD series. For example, large amounts of technical information such as the status and settings of the machine can be controlled and manged via a touchscreen display. The advantages of the new EVD from Carpigiani are clear to see.

Every side of the production is independently controlled, and therefore suitable for different types of mixes. The patented Carpigiani gear pumps make for maximum volume air addition, up to 80%, for maximum yields. Electronic consistency controls, easy operation, electronic fill level control and a brand new innovative design. Electronic and lucid touch panel. Height adjustable output unit for easy filling, cleaning and operation of the machine. Optionally available newly developed refrigeration cycle – warm air is discharged upwards, so that no space is required on the side. Extremely silent operation (55db).

Frisani presents the new Carpigiani RTL Ice Cream Machine in Copenhagen

Frisani Eistechnik, based in northern Germany, took centre stage at the TAK trade fair in Roskilde, Copenhagen with the presentation of the new Carpigiani RTL ice cream machine. Participants were universally impressed with the innovative machine concept of the new generation of RTL ice cream machines from Carpigiani. It was clear to visitors that flexibility for the user stands in the forefront in the construction of machine. The gratifying result for the user are freedoms that ice cream producers up till now, could only dream of. Full flexibility in the choice of processing techniques, resulting in a fryer and firmer ice cream, in comparison to earlier models. In particular, the increased engine output, despite a total water and energy saving of up to 30%, are very convincing improvements. Frisani presented the Carpigiani RTL series models 10/30 , 15/45 , 20/60 and 30/100 with smaller casing, in comparison with the RTX Generation The filling capacity per freezing phase, are depending on model, between 2,5 und 10 Litres.

During the development of the machines, great worth was placed on the adherence to worldwide hygienic standards. For example, the equipping with the new Teorema System, which saves all production information, which a service technician can read by means of an internet connection or alternatively directly from the machine, with data retrieval by means of special software.

How well this all function in reality, visitors to our demonstrations could experience `LIVE´, as we produced, under manufacturing conditions, specified mixes. Additionally visitors were presented new innovations in the sector Gelato Enxellent , Gelato Speed , Gelato Hard , Gelato Simply and Fruit Creams. With our product demonstrations, we were able to convince interested parties that they can, with the help of new operator technology, significantly shorten processing cycle times and therefore increase productivity.
